With support from two major philanthropic foundations, ECU will restore and revive one of the world’s most significant collections of historic pianos. The project includes expert craftsmanship, student scholarships, and live performances, bringing these rare instruments back to life for a new generation of musicians and audiences.

While Some Close, Others Open: Steinway & Sons Expands in the U.S.

 

As we’ve previously reported, some piano retailers are closing their doors — yet others are boldly opening new ones. A prime example is Steinway & Sons, which has just opened its first factory store in Colorado. The new location, a nearly 3,200-square-foot gallery, is situated at 56 Steele Street in the upscale Cherry Creek neighborhood.

This marks the nineteenth Steinway factory store in the United States.

Yamaha recalls power adaptors

Yamaha has announced a recall of its PA-300C AC adaptors, which were sold with various Yamaha-brand arranger workstations, digital pianos, and music control panels, as well as Steinberg-brand audio interfaces.
