Piano Technician/Builder wanted in Copenhagen (DK) !

 

Keybird Instruments ApS in Denmark is looking for a piano technician with a strong interest in production and with a passion for music and an ambition to fully understand the piano building process. 

A fascination for automation and optimisation of production processes will benefit you. Building prototypes and designing processes as well as doing the same thing over and over again should not scare you, although the focus will be on the processes from stringing to intonation (and everything in between such as gluing hammer heads and adjusting mechanisms and keys). 

Keybird Instruments ApS is a startup company, constantly working on developing a lightweight and more practical acoustic piano, to compete with digital pianos in small flats and to offer travelling musicians an alternative to digital instruments. 

A lot of things are happening in our startup, so if you love the process of starting a company and all the little side issues that come with such a process, that's to your advantage (and ours too). 

 

Our ideal candidate is:

 

+ ambitious and organised

+ down-to-earth and someone who likes to build things and use his hands

+ experienced with precision woodworking and has an interest in CAD/CAM

+ is a doer, pragmatic, with a very high drive to get things done

+ has an affinity for music and pianos in particular

+ is good at multitasking

+ Strives for fast and quality work within agreed timetables

+ likes innovation in general and is good at thinking out of the box

+ is a good communicator (values open and uncomplicated interaction)

+ has sufficient communication skills in English to be able to build a nice social life abroad as well

Keybird Instruments ApS in Dänemark sucht einen Klaviertechniker mit starkem Interesse an der Produktion, mit einer Leidenschaft für Musik und dem Ehrgeiz, den Klavierbauprozess vollständig zu verstehen. 

Eine Faszination für die Automatisierung und Optimierung von Produktionsprozessen wird Ihnen zugute kommen. Das bauen von Prototypen und das Entwerfen von Prozessen sowie "immer wieder das Gleiche tun", sollten Sie nicht abschrecken - der Schwerpunkt wird auf den Prozessen von der Besaitung bis zur Intonation (und allem, was dazwischen liegen (wie das Kleben von Hammerköpfen und das Einstellen von Mechanismen und Tasten). 

Keybird Instruments ApS ist ein Startup-Unternehmen, das ständig an der Entwicklung eines leichten und praktischen akustischen Klaviers arbeitet, um mit digitalen Klavieren in kleinen Wohnungen konkurrieren zu können und um reisenden Musikern eine Alternative zu digitalen Instrumenten zu bieten.
